Lets Talk Militaria UK

Country of Origin: Imperial Germany
Time Period: 1914-1918
Battle / War: World War I
Product Condition: Good
Product Dimensions (cm): 28x6x3

A genuine Imperial German WWI bayonet frog, manufactured by G. Billep, Spandau, and dated 1915, intended for the S84/98 III bayonet, including the rarer sawback (Sägerücken) Butcher Blade variants used early in the war.Constructed in thick, high-quality dark brown leather, this example retains its correct period stitching, rivets, and contours typical of mid-war Prussian manufacture. The reverse is clearly stamped “G. Billep Spandau 15”, confirming authenticity and origin.Condition is very good for age — leather remains supple with only a small crack above the bayonet lug stud, a common ageing feature that does not affect display integrity. An excellent piece for WWI edged weapon collectors, especially those assembling full and correctly matched S84/98 sets.
