A nickel-plated steel sight protector designed for the Pattern 1914 (P14) rifle, manufactured by Parker-Hale, Birmingham. Marked “PARKER’S LIST No. 138A” with the Parker-Hale trade mark, this accessory was used to shield the front sight from damage during transport, training, or storage. The snug barrel-fitting ring and offset protective cup were engineered to prevent impact and dirt ingress, ensuring the sight’s accuracy was maintained. Widely used by the British military and shooting clubs during and after WWI.
