A scarce embroidered cloth patch from the 101 Battalion of the South West African Territorial Force (SWATF), believed to represent a reconnaissance or elite tracking detachment within the unit. The badge features an aggressive eagle clutching crossed rifles, symbolising surveillance and combat readiness. The vertical tricolour background—light blue, white, and dark green—reflects the colours of SWATF and its territorial identity. This formation operated primarily in northern Namibia (then South West Africa), often in COIN (counter-insurgency) operations against PLAN insurgents along the Angola border.
