An original beret badge of the South West Africa Tactical Force (SWATF), finished in subdued oxidised silver for use with service or field uniforms. The badge features a stylised Oryx (Gemsbok)head with tall, upright horns, mounted above a scroll bearing the Latin "Pergamus" This design was used across various command and support elements within SWATF, particularly among headquarters, tactical command units, and specialist elements. The subdued finish was practical for operational environments where shiny brass was unsuitable.
