Blackened metal cap badge of the Royal Rhodesia Regiment (RRR) featuring a Maltese-style star surmounted by the King’s Crown, with a central circlet bearing the regiment’s title and a red felt backing behind the lion-and-tusk device. The King’s Crown definitively dates this badge to the pre-Elizabeth II period. The handwritten note in the image (1957–1972) slightly overextends the correct royal dating; King’s Crown examples were worn prior to 1953, after which the Queen’s Crown was adopted.
