Blackened brass cap badge of the 17th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (Poplar and Stepney Rifles). Features Maltese cross within laurel wreath, King’s Crown and central sphinx device with battle honour “South Africa 1899-1902.” Fitted with original slider to reverse. Correct rifle regiment blackened finish. Good service patina and condition.
