Original Forças Armadas Populares de Libertação de Angola (FAPLA) olive green combat trousers, manufactured in a durable herringbone twill (HBT) fabric and featuring large cargo pockets, rear pocket, and reinforced field construction. This style of trouser was widely issued to FAPLA forces during the Angolan Civil War and was also highly prized by members of the South African Reconnaissance Regiments (Recces), who frequently acquired captured FAPLA clothing for operational use due to its practicality and low-profile appearance. The simple internal size stamp and absence of commercial labels are consistent with military manufacture. Genuine FAPLA combat clothing associated with Recce use is increasingly difficult to source and is highly sought after by collectors of Southern African military history.
