This bayonet was adapted for the R4 rifles usd in South AfricaOriginal Eickhorn KCB-70 M1 multipurpose bayonet, manufactured by Carl Eickhorn GmbH, Solingen, Germany. The KCB-70 (Knife Cutter Bayonet) was developed in the late 1960s as a modern bayonet system for export and was adopted by numerous armed forces worldwide. This example features the characteristic black phosphate-finished clip-point blade with wire-cutting slot, ribbed polymer grip, muzzle ring, and integrated attachment system. It is complete with its original polymer scabbard and webbing frog. The KCB-70 family formed the basis for several later South African bayonet designs and saw extensive service across Africa, Asia, and South America.
