Constructed from heavy black leather with integral belt loop, twin rivet reinforcement, and stitched scabbard pocket, this frog was designed to carry the standard S84/98 Pattern III bayonet issued with the Karabiner 98k rifle. The maker's stamp and wartime date confirm production during the early years of the Second World War.
