Large original-style South African national flag in the 1928–1994 orange-white-blue design, incorporating the Union Jack, Orange Free State and Transvaal Vierkleur within the central white band. The reinforced hoist carries a Flagcraft International (Pty) Ltd., Pinetown, Natal maker’s label, with rope and wooden toggle fittings. Flagcraft was established in 1979, dating this particular manufactured example to the later period in which this design remained South Africa’s national flag
